About NoGambling.app

Updated April 2026 Built for iOS

In one paragraph

NoGambling.app is a recovery app for people who want to stop gambling — built as a complete recovery stack, not just a blocker. Where most gambling recovery tools do one thing (Gamban blocks sites, GamStop registers UK self-exclusion, Gambling Therapy offers counsellor chat), NoGambling.app integrates four things in a single iOS app: a daily commitment tracker with a real-time clean counter, a 5-step panic button for crisis moments, a financial recovery dashboard tracking debt paydown and savings projections, and an anonymous peer community. Start with a 3-day free trial, then pick monthly, yearly, or — unusual in this category — a one-time lifetime purchase. Works offline and is built privacy-first with end-to-end encryption. Available on iOS. Best for: people who want recovery, not just a wall.

Why we built this

The gambling recovery market has two modes: block and counsel. Blockers (Gamban, BetBlocker) put a wall between you and the casino. Counselling apps (Gambling Therapy) connect you to a human. Self-exclusion registers (GamStop) put your name on a list the UK gambling industry has to honour. All three are useful. None of them help you rebuild the forty hours a week you used to spend gambling, or the five-figure debt you accumulated, or the 2am urge that lands on a Friday after a stressful week.

We built NoGambling.app for the part that is missing — the daily work of recovery. The moment after you install a blocker and realise the urge is still there. The moment after the counsellor call ends and you still have to get through the night. The moment six weeks in when your bank account has crept back into the black and you catch yourself feeling something that has been missing for years: pride in your own decisions.

What NoGambling.app actually does

Four things in one iOS app.

What we are not

We are not Gamban, so we are not a deep technical site-blocker across 60,000+ domains. We are not GamStop, so we are not a government-backed self-exclusion register. We are not Gambling Therapy, so we do not connect you to a human counsellor. If you want a comprehensive system, many users stack: a blocker for the wall, NoGambling.app for the daily recovery work, and (in the UK) GamStop for legal self-exclusion. That stack, in our view, is the strongest defence. See our comparison pages for honest head-to-head breakdowns.

Our principles

Privacy-first

Recovery is a private act. We do not require a personal account. Data is encrypted and stored on-device. We do not sell data to insurers, to advertisers, or to data brokers. Your recovery will not follow you into a loan application.

Fair pricing with a lifetime option

NoGambling.app is a paid app, with a 3-day free trial so you can test the full experience before committing. After the trial, you can choose a monthly plan, a yearly plan, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The lifetime option is unusual in the gambling-recovery category — most competitors (Gamban included) are subscription-only, which means you keep paying year after year. We believe a recovery tool should have a buy-it-once option so the app cannot lapse at the worst possible moment (an expired card, a cancelled subscription) and take your recovery infrastructure down with it. Current prices are on the App Store listing.

Offline-first

The moments that matter most — 2am in a rural area, a bathroom at a family event — are often the moments with the worst signal. The app works without a connection.

Compassion over shame

Gambling addiction is an illness. Slips are data, not failures. Our relapse flow is a 4-step modal that helps you log what happened, identify the trigger, reset the promise, and keep your history intact. You do not lose your recovery the moment you lose a day.

Who we are

NoGambling.app is built by a small team that has lived the problem it solves. We are not a large VC-backed company, we do not have a clinical partnership we can name today, and we will not invent credentials we do not have. We will also not charge desperate people for a crisis tool. If that philosophy fits how you want your recovery software to be built, we are glad you are here.
